He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Violet Endicott; wife, Florence Endicott; sisters, Alice (Jack) Neiszner, Grace (Martin) Neiszner & Vera (Louis) Myers; brothers, Eldon Endicott, Jack Endicott and Wayne Endicott; sisters in law, Marlene (Joe) Eiesnkrein, Kathy (Clifford) Sterling and Marilyn Haack; brothers in law, Garth Vallely and Doug Therens and mother & father in law, John (Anne) Haack.
Donald was born in Weyburn on December 14, 1929 to Arthur and Violet Endicott, raised on the family farm and attended Prospect School. After finishing school, he worked at various jobs, in Ontario at Ambe Pulp and Paper Company, Swifts in Moose Jaw, Probe’s Custom Threshing in Canada and USA, all while helping on the family farm in between jobs.
Donald met Prospect school teacher, Florence Haack and they were married in 1952 at Meyronne, Saskatchewan. Together, they started their farming life south of Weyburn where they raised two daughters, Carol in 1952 and Jeanne in 1955. Farm life was very busy, grain farming mixed with having cattle, pigs, chickens, mink, purebred Arabian horses and mini ponies. Every great grandchild received a pony when they were born. Donald was very involved with his grandkids and great grandkids, attending many rodeos, cub car rallies, horse shows, Christmas concerts and graduations, just to name a few.
Donald will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Carol (Rodney) Ellingson of Weyburn, SK; daughter, Jeanne (Richard) Vogel of McTaggart, SK; grandchildren, Tammy (Kevin) King, Luke (Krista) Ellingson, Kendra Ellingson, Michael (Joleen) Endicott and Sheldon Endicott; great grandchildren, Shoni, Zane, Shayda, Lena, Jim, Ryder, Jayden, Brooklynn and Stephen; sisters in law, Maryann Vallely, Irene Therens and Vic Endicott; brothers in law, Leo Haack & Bob (Delores) Haack as well as many nieces, nephews & friends.
At the request of Donald & his family there will be no formal service held at this time. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
