Dwayne grew up neighbouring our farm. Memories include sharing the long bus ride...hours it seemed and later on shared the bus with his younger sister and brothers. Since he was a few years older he did spend some time with my brothers driving dune buggies and sports activities.
Throughout the years we touched base when we were visiting our respective parents in Pangman and shared northern Canada experiences.
He got in touch a few months back and shared some memories and we caught up on our lives up to the present asking for updates on classmates we each kept in touch with after all these years. It was always fun to chat with him and get 'caught ' up. My deepest sympathies go out to his siblings and loved ones.

I met Dwayne a few years back and we got along great, we talked about our lives and of the mistakes we had made and that if we had the chance we would sure changed the things that still haunt us to today. We had a few beers together and enjoyed each other's company. I'm sure he will be sadly missed. R I P Brother

I recall substitute teaching Dwayne’s grade when Daryl Hamilton was missing in action. Daryl had left me the inevitable task of teaching skipping for an hour. When I started the class Dwayne said to me “Gene I don’t skip”. I begged pleaded joked and tried my hardest get him to join the rest of the class. His response, “ Gene I don’t skip”. He then went and sat down and watched the rest of the class as well as me stumble along skipping. I couldn’t help admire his stance and after that never refused to do any activity. Mind you I never asked him to skip again either. He was one of a kind for sure 👍🏼
