Kristine Denise Kaufmann

Kristine was born to John and Kathy Kaufmann on November 19, 1970 at Regina, Saskatchewan. She was raised on the family farm at Pangman with two older brothers and one younger. Kristine received her early education at the Pangman School and later for three years in Weyburn at the pre-employment program. She would graduate from this program in 1992. During the pre-employment time she worked at McCoy’s Drugs, Metropolitan Store, the Co-op Bakery and Souris Valley Care Home. She spent several years living in Regina and working with the Abilities Council but would eventually return to the family farm in 1995. She spent time working at the Pangman Senior Home and helping out on the farm. In 2004 Kristine moved into Weyburn into a Group Home and eventually into the independent living programs. She began working at the Weyburn Workin’ Shop. Kristine also attended the Neil Squire Society Employ-Ability program. She remained in the Weyburn Independent living program until 2014 when she moved into Tatagwa View. Kristine loved fishing and could do so for hours on end. Some of her other interests included, bowling, floor hockey, latch hooking and watching scary movies. Kristine loved animals and caring for her numerous pets throughout her life. Another great interest was the Roughriders and she loved attending football games with her brother, Bruce. Kristine enjoyed talking on the phone to her family and her many friends. She also enjoyed many family holidays, camping, going to Disneyland, and travelling through various parts of British Columbia and Alberta on numerous occasions. Along with her family, Kristine travelled extensively through many American states on family vacations. Krissy was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Anne Kaufmann; grandparents, Nick and Victoria Kaufmann and Lorenz and Anne Kaip; uncles, Peter Froh, Mike (Ruby) Kaufmann, Ernie Kaufmann and cousins, Marlon Walker and Donna Harrington. Krissy will be lovingly remembered by her parents, John and Kathy Kaufmann of Pangman, SK; brother, Bruce Kaufmann of Regina, SK; brother, Allan Kaufmann of Swift Current, SK and his children, Dillan, Arren and Emilly and their mother, Barb Kaufmann; brother, Todd (Cindy) Kaufmann of Regina, SK and their children, Abigail, Nicholas and Jacqueline; many aunts and uncles, Bill and Gloria Kaufmann, Evelyn Froh, Margaret and Max Kesslering, Amy and Buford Walker, Caroline and Carl Kesslering, Janet and Don Prentice; numerous cousins and friends and a very important friend in her life, Chantel Bouvier. Prayers will be said on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St, Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church with Father Gerry Bauche. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul with Father Gerry Bauche celebrating. Interment will take place at Khedive Cemetery, Khedive Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Kristine may be made to “Cheshire Homes at 404 Sherwood Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan S4R 4B4 – her brother, Bruce’s residence.”
