Rodney Boyde Mackenzie

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Ernest & Mary Mackenzie and George & Christina Mills; brothers, Duane & Donald Mackenzie; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mackenzie, Linda Michel, & Jackie Jermunsen; son-in-law, Duane Graefer: grand daughter, Juli-Ann Mackenzie; grandson, Darwin Backlun; step grandson, Larry Moser and father and mother-in-law, Julius & Minnie Jermunsen.

Ron is survived by his son, Rick (Sandra) Mackenzie and children, Jeffery (Jennifer), Janna (Chris), Nancy (Dallas) and Jeff (Shawna); daughter, Karen Backlun (Rob) and children, Toni (Curtis), Tyler , Chris (Dierdre), Amy, Kim (Terry); son, David Mackenzie and his son Justin; daughter, Cheryl Graefer (Ken) and children, Shelan, Pam (Brad), Erin (Dale), Andy (Trisha); many great grandchildren; Hazel Mackenzie, mother of his children; brother, Dale (Jenny) and family of Fargo, ND; special partner, Dorothy Kehler and her children, Sally (Dwayne), Laura (Lawrence), Caroline (Scott), Harvey (Shannon), Michael (Sheri), Rita (Lyle) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from the Royal Canadian Legion, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Reverend John Ferrier officiating. A Private Family Interment was held in Dovre Cemetery, Lake Alma, Saskatchewan. Pallbearers were Vern Jermunsen (Joe), Jeff Mackenzie, Tyler Backlun, Chris Backlun, Andy Graefer, Dwayne Mack.

Donations in memory of Rodney may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Weyburn Humane Society.
