Abigail (Abby) Elizabeth Sneden, 34, of Thornton,CO, passed away on June 30, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1992, in Englewood, CO, the second child and oldest daughter of John and Carrie Sneden. She was a native Coloradoan and lived in many different cities around the state (Frisco, Ft. Collins, Loveland, Commerce City, and Thornton) with her parents and three siblings: Kyle, Emma and Margaret. She was a member of the 2010 graduating class of Prairie View High School in Henderson, CO. She loved living in Colorado- she thought it was the most beautiful place in the world.
Abby had a variety of interests and hobbies. She was an artist– she loved to draw (especially portraits of people she loved), paint pottery, sew, and crochet. She also loved to write stories, and particularly liked writing short biographies about historical figures. She enjoyed listening to music– especially music by women artists such as Pink and Lady Gaga– and loved to sing along with songs she knew. She loved watching movies– her favorites were rom-coms and Disney movies. But her favorite activities involved animals: taking care of a variety of pets, watching videos about creatures in the wild, and meeting and greeting any animal that crossed her path. Her favorite animals were dogs, cats, and turtles.
Everybody who knew Abby knew her to be the kindest, gentlest, most loving person in the world. She loved talking to anyone she met– no one was a stranger for long. She had the most engaging, infectious laugh in the world. She loved spending time with her family and her friends. No matter her own struggles, she was always optimistic and had a positive attitude. She will be tremendously missed by everyone who was privileged enough to know her.
Abby was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Sneden; her uncle and aunt, Don and Cindy Sneden; her aunt Lynda Sneden; and her beloved Dad, John Sneden. She is survived by her Mom, Carrie Sneden; siblings Kyle (sister-in-law Madeline), Emma and Margaret; her maternal grandparents, Bill and Joyce Kocman; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and the Pasillas and Raya families, whom Abby lived with and who became as much a part of her family as her own.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Abby at a later date- further details are pending.
