Adam Armando Mackintosh, 34, of Denver died Wednesday, August 25th in a tragic accident. Although taken too soon, he lived his life to the fullest and leaves us with laughter, and his memory will shine through the legacy he's left behind.
Adam loved nature from birth and treasured anything that involved the outdoors. Camping, fishing, sailing; or just spending time in the backyard with family and friends. He was a self proclaimed musician and comedian and will be most remembered by his infectious smile and ability to make everyone laugh. To know Adam was to love him, and he truly was the life of the party. Each New Year's Eve was especially festive, complete with fireworks and a ball drop; and in true Adam style...a marriage proposal. Born October 7, 1975, Adam was raised in Littleton and graduated from Chatfield Senior High School
in 1993. He immediately joined the family business with his father. His passion for nature eventually took over and he joined Swingle Tree Company and then realized his dream of becoming a certified arborist and establishing Adams Tree Service in 2004, offering the perfect combination of nature and people. Above all, Adam loved his family. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Melanie and three beautiful children who love their Papa, son Adison, 2, and twin daughters, Claire and Sophia, 1; as well as his parents Arturo and Theresa Mackintosh, brothers Austin (Marina), and Andres Mackintosh and sisters Greta (Larry) Caschette, Deedee (Mario) Martell and Sarah Mackintosh, grandmother Pauline Arellano, all of Denver; and countless additional relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jose Arellano and Esther Mackintosh. A rosary and celebration of Adam's life will take place Monday, August 30th at 7pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO, preceded by visitation from 5pm - 7pm. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Tuesday, August 31st at 12:00 noon followed by internment at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the "Adam Mackintosh
Memorial Fund" has been established for the children. Donations can be sent to 1523 S. Lincoln St., Denver, CO 80210.
