Adolph was born December 1, 1920 in Meadow, South Dakota to Edward and Louise Wolff. He graduated high school in Onaka, South Dakota in the spring of 1942, on July 2, 1942 he was his inducted into the Army Air Force. He served in the South Pacific 1943-1944 and contracted malaria, and was transferred to Tripler General Hospital Hawaii then to Letterman Army Hospital in San Fransico, CA. then to Fitzsimons Army Hospital, Denver, CO. on June 24, 1944 he was released on a 21 day recuperation period, he went home to South Dakota to visit family. After recuperation period he transferred to Santa Maria Air Force Base California for further tests than to San Bernardino, California from July 28, 1944 thru August 14, 1944. August 16, 1944 transferred to Williams Air Force Base in Chandler AZ.
After more testing Adolph was put back on active duty as an Air Traffic Controller on August 21, 1944. Adolph met the love of his life on September 3, 1944 it was love at first sight they were married January 25, 1945. From 1946 thru 1950 Adolph and Ruby ranched in South Dakota. Cold weather did not agree with the malaria he contracted in the service so they sold out. He worked for the City and County of Denver, Public Works for 32 years as business manager.
Adolph retired in June of 1983. After retirement winters were spent in Arizona, and summers in Granby CO. Adolph enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and snowmobiling. He was president of AMI-7 Inc. Mobile home park in Granby CO. He spent over 50 years as a member of Masonic Lodge. Adolph had 6 brothers and 7 sisters.
