Aidan Madaket Lincoln, son, brother ,grandson , nephew, cousin , friend , angler , rugger, horseman, footballer, and more…was born on his Mothers birthday, January 7, 2003 in Baltimore, MD. Aidan was born into turbulent times as his birth was shortly followed by the passing of his older sister, Elliette Nicole Lincoln. Following the passing of his sister Elliette, the family relocated several times but ultimately settled at their family homestead in Evergreen, Colorado where Aidan spent the majority of his young life.
Aidan passed away in his sleep during the early hours of January 9th, 2023 due to a seizure related incident. As many of you may know, Aidan had been enduring and overcoming a nocturnal seizure disorder since the fall of 2019. Prior to his passing, and in spite of his obstacles, Aidan lived an impactful and beautiful life based out of his family’s ranch on Upper Bear Creek in Evergreen, Colorado. Aidan was always full of life and brought positive energy and happiness into every room he entered. He was a relentless competitor, gifted athlete, generous friend, skilled outdoorsman, and one of the most impressive anglers and oarsmen you’d ever share a boat with. After conquering athletics, the outdoors, and a less than ideal schooling path during the early unknown times of COVID. Aidan took a year to spend time with his family, travel, fish, and play rugby before ultimately deciding to take his passion for the outdoors and athletics to Western Colorado University in Gunnison.
Despite struggling with his obscure medical condition, Aidan was quickly recognized as a dedicated student, a standout leader on the rugby pitch, and a guide amongst his peers to the unparalleled sporting opportunity and natural beauty of the Gunnison Valley. Aidan spent the week prior to his passing on the White River, and at home with his family doing what he loved; floating down the river, fishing, spending time with his family, cooking and exploring local restaurants. Although Aidan was taken from us too soon, the family encourages us all to keep him in our hearts and in our stories. Aidan left a small piece of him in all of us, and we encourage you to let him show. Aidan Madaket Lincoln, we will love you forever and until we meet again.. Rest In Peace
