

Alfonso Victor Galluzzo, known affectionately as Al, passed away on September 5, 2024, after a short illness, at the age of 85.
Born in Rockford, Illinois on December 28, 1938, Al graduated from Rockford West High School in 1957. Following a two-year military service in the US Army, Al became a journeyman meat cutter and worked for Piggly Wiggly and Highlander food stores in Rockford. When he moved to Colorado in 1974, he continued his career at Safeway and Sam's Club in Littleton, Colorado. Al's part time business interests included lawn mower repair, lock and key repair and worm farming.
As an avid hunter and fisherman, Al enjoyed the outdoors and used his artistic talents to sketch and create paintings of wildlife and of his many beloved pets.
Al is survived by his sisters Theresa Sager and Jo Mauro(Tony), brother Vic and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary, and brothers Mose and Denny(Leslie).
A memorial service and burial will be held on October 5, 2024 at 10:00 am at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery at 7777 W. 29th Ave. Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Donations in Al's memory may be made to the Foothills Animal Shelter. https://foothillsanimalshelter.org
