Al was born in Miliken, Colorado in 1929 and married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Muser in 1949. They had four children, Donna Pryor (passed in 1999), Diana (Gary) Seurer, Steve (Sherri) Allison and Barbara Tumbleson. Al had eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Al joined the Denver Police Department in 1955 badge #55001, starting on street patrol and serving in Data Processing, Radio room as a dispatcher where he was promoted to Sergeant. He was later assigned to the Juvenile Child Abuse Section, retiring in 1982. After spending several years as a snowbird in Yuma, Arizona he became a permanent resident of Yuma in 2006 and married his second wife, Dora Barry (passed in 2024). Al moved back to Colorado in 2024 to live with family in Lakewood, Colorado. He enjoyed playing cribbage, NASCAR, golf, fishing, working crossword puzzles and reading. Al passed after 95 years of living and loving life. He unexpectedly passed as a result of complicationsfrom a head injury due to a fall. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him and will be remembered forever.
