Alice Irene Harris
July 1, 1935 – November 8, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved sister and aunt, Alice Irene Harris on November 8, 2025. She touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Born on July 1, 1935, in Burlington, Colorado, she was the daughter of Freda Schreiner Harris and William Harris. She graduated from East High School and then began a long career with Mountain Bell, where her dedication and professionalism were admired. After retirement, she continued to share her talents by assisting with bookkeeping at Good Shepherd Catholic School in Denver.
She was a woman of creativity and grace, excelling in machine embroidery and china painting, and her artistic gifts brought joy to many. A long-time member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, she lived her faith daily. In her later years, she resided at St. Andrews Independent Living, where she faithfully attended weekly Bible study and formed lasting friendships. Her wonderful sense of humor and ability to connect with everyone she met were hallmarks of her life.
She is survived by her loving sister, Pearl Gleichman, and two cherished nieces and their husbands: Lori and Keith Bowers, and Lou and Cliff Rossler. Her legacy continues through her adored grand-nephews and niece Dr. Alex Bowers, Amy Bowers, Andrew Bowers, Reverand Matthew Rossler, and Leslie Rossler. She also treasured and loved great-grandnieces Blayke and Ryann Bowers and great grand nephew, Jamie Bowers.
Her life was a testament to family, faith, and creativity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory.
