Allan E. Starr passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 92 at Jaxpointe Assisted Living in Arvada, CO. He was born and raised in Arvada, CO. He served in the US Navy during WWII. After the war he worked at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Later, he was the owner of Al's 66 Service Station on Ralston Road. He married Dovie Vincent in August of 1952 and together they had four children. Al enjoyed auto racing at Lakeside Speedway and working on classic cars. He is survived by his wife, Dovie; children, Chuck (Laura), Sue (Darrell), Jim (Sue), and Donna; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation is planned for Saturday, February 11st at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m.; both at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, CO. A reception will follow at Fellowship Covenant Church, 5615 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003.
