

Allen Wayne Bryce was born in Seattle, Washington on December 31, 1942 to Andrew McKaig Bryce and Rosalie (Price) Bryce. The family moved to Spokane where he attended elementary school. Than they moved to Birch Bay, Washington where he graduated from Blaine High School in 1961. He attended Central Washington State University and Western Washington State University. After his mother’s death in 1963, he and his father moved to Denver. He continued studies at the University of Denver and then graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and computers.
Allen started working for Public Service Company (now Excel Energy) as a meter reader. He promoted to the Test Crew, which tested all the electrical substation equipment. He retired in 2001 as a Power System Operator, monitoring all substations throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He had also worked for Continental Airlines part time, which sparked his love of traveling the world. He and his father and stepmother traveled to several countries.
Allen married Ilene Hawthorne On April 26, 1976. They loved to travel and took many amazing trips including an Alaskan Cruise, Land trips to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, Cruised the Scandavian countries, St. Petersburg, Russia with Bennie and Kathy Campton. Caribbean, Boston to Montreal and lastly the Panama Canal. They had a motor home and boat that they enjoyed many adventures around the United States.
He enjoyed woodworking and made several beautiful pieces. His greatest joy was making gifts for friends and family. His other passions were cars and travel.
Allen is preceded in death by his father Andrew “Andy” Bryce, mother Rosalie Bryce, and his stepmother Hazel.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ilene. His brother Robert (Marilyn). Son, Brett; daughter Brenda, (Michael), five grandchildren – Bryan, Steven, Ginnie, Helena, and Bobby, and two great-grandchildren. He also cherished his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. and wonderful friends. He loved his family unconditionally.
