Alma M. Gregory passed away on February 3, 2020. Born and raised in Oklahoma, she met her future husband, Richard Gregory, during their senior year of high school. Alma and Richard were married in 1956 and celebrated 56 years together. She maintained a strong faith, believed in doing what was right, loved her family, and always put their needs above her own.
Alma enjoyed music, crocheting and sewing, making costumes for the children’s various events, helping with school projects, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Being a military wife meant frequently pulling up roots, packing up kids and household and moving to the next place Richard had been assigned. When he was stationed overseas, she managed things on her own with the support of nearby family. They retired from the military to Denver, Colorado. Alma continued to be there for her family. As they grew up, she decided to go to college, and in 1984 graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
She remained a homemaker, and Alma adored her grandchildren and later, her great-grandchildren. She loved having them come over, watching them play, and especially enjoyed the holidays when everyone came and she could lavish them with gifts. She also enjoyed attending church and participated wherever she was able. She was widely loved and admired and is missed by many.
Alma is survived by daughters: Carolyn (Lynn) Osburn, and Katherine (Mark) Edgar, son: Randal Gregory, grandchildren Paul (Kirsten) Osburn, Sheri Lawler, Elise Osburn, Daniel (Michelle) Edgar, Kevin Edgar, Lacie Edgar, Charls Williams, Hailey Williams, and Reilly Gregory, and by great-grandchildren; Alex and Jackson Lawler, Ayden and Serenity Osburn, Danika and Erin Osburn, Kimberly Edgar and Freya Pescador.
