Anita Moore (nee: Talarek)

April 14, 1944 – February 3, 2024

Anita Moore, age 79, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Englewood, CO.

Anita was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children: Colette Reid of Schererville, IN and Dawn Moore (Renee Spradley) of Parrish, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren who she adored: Luke Reid and Noah Reid.

Other survivors include her 92 year old aunt Betty Anderson of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law Nadia Talarek, and niece Sorayah Talarek of Hammond, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Talarek and Andrew Talarek and her brother, Robert Talarek of Hammond, IN.

Anita was born on April 14, 1944, in East Chicago, IN. She resided in Northwest Indiana until 1988 when she moved to the Denver area and ultimately settled in Golden, CO. She worked a variety of jobs over the years including bartender, EMT, and security guard with the last being for the casinos in Blackhawk, CO.

She was a devout member of the Catholic faith attending mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Golden, CO. She was an AVID Elvis Presley fan and collected memorabilia over the years. She was passionate about WWE, enjoyed arts and crafts, and travelling to see friends and family. She stayed physically active with working out 3 times per week and being a member of a senior dance group. Anita lived life on her terms, packing “heat” under her tutu and putting ketchup on her steak!

A celebration of life and interment will occur in the near future in Indiana.
