I just learned of Don and Anita's passing and I am so sorry for you and your family. I was friends with Don when he was at Faith Christian and helped him buy and sell several properties. I was so thrilled when he met Anita. She was a very special woman and helped Don so much! I had discussed helping them into Senior Housing about a year ago and I was so happy their home had gone up in value so much. I used to see them in the King Soopers on 58th frequently and called Don's phone recently to check in on them. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Anita will always hold a special place in my heart for how she lovingly cared for her mother-in-law, Louise (my aunt), and her husband, Doug (my cousin), through their most difficult times. Anita was sunshine to everyone, so encouraging and optimistic. She opened up her heart and home to so many including my family over the decades. Anita graciously organized my mother's 90th birthday party in the Denver area....always willing to step up and do the work behind the scenes. Always humble. She was a devoted mother to her daughter and son who she loved dearly. Her memory brings a smile to my face. She is released and in glory. Jo Ann Johnston Backens

Anita was a wonderful neighbor. She helped with so much of our life. She was loved by our four children who always thought of her as Mrs. Newby. She took such loving care of her husband, Doug through his fight with cancer. She was a total care giver whether it was with neighborhood children or her family. She will always be remembered as a wonderful loving person. God bless you, Anita. You will be missed.

Anita was one of the first people who welcomed me as a pastor intern at First Presbyterian of Golden in 2016. She always would stop me and offer a word of encouragement. I always looked forward to seeing her each Sunday.. God bless her sister and children during this time.

Anita, you will be missed in so many ways in our Estes Street neighborhood. I will miss you as my neighbor who did so many nice
things for us. You were always there to help anyone who needed help, I could write a whole list of good things you did for us all.
God is waiting for you Anita, you will be one of those angels who he sends back down to watch over us. And I hope he sends you down in a pretty new Buick. Rest In Peace friend💕
