He was born in Boulder, Colorado on Cherryvale Road October 3, 1919. He grew up on a family farm with his father, Dennis, his mother, Laura, and siblings Eunice, Delbert, Violet, Ruby, and Elmo. All have gone on to be with the Lord prior to his passing.
Arley married Pauline Huff on June 15, 1941. They were married for 66 wonderful years. Their married life began in Colorado and shortly thereafter he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After the war, he and Pauline resided in Boulder, then moved to Metro Denver where they raised two children, Gary and Glenna. He attended Denver University and later worked primarily as a building and electrical contractor. Arley and Pauline’s life was centered around their faith and family, attending Calvary Temple for over 50 years. He enjoyed music, singing often in a quartet and the church choir. He loved his family and many friends. Pauline went to heaven in March, 2007.
On April 11, 2009 Arley married Leah McConnell, an acquaintance from church. They resided in Highlands Ranch. However, Leah passed away on June 20, 2017.
Also, preceding Arley to heaven was Kevin Michael Fisher (1982).
Arley leaves behind 2 children--Gary Bluhm (Ruth) and Glenna Fisher (Michael). He had 7 grandchildren--Jesse and Tera Bluhm, Keith and Marci Fisher, Jason and Casey Bluhm, and Jacob Fisher. He also had 5 great grandchildren--Kylie Bluhm, Jackson Bluhm, Mackenzie Bluhm, Kendal Fisher and Kevin Fisher.
Arley was first and foremost a Christian, husband, father, grandparent, and friend to all. From the time he was a child, his mother explained to him his need of a Savior and the love Jesus had for him. He committed his life to Christ. For the rest of his life, his desire was to serve the Lord. As a result of this relationship with Jesus, Arley was a very loving, happy, dependable, generous, straight forward, and insightful man. He was known for his sense of humor, and his generous spirit was evident to all who knew him. Arley will be missed by all who were touched by his life and his commitment to the Lord.
In honor of Arley’s memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:30a.m., in the Chapel of Peace at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary (29th and Wadsworth) 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
