He was in the presence of his family and friends during his final minutes on Earth.
He was born in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India, to his parents Kuruvilla Peter and Mary Kuruvilla. Benji, as he was lovingly nicknamed, grew up with his older sister, Mercy, and his two younger brothers, Rony and Jacksy. As children, they lived in many different cities and towns throughout North India because their father’s job moved them around often. Growing up, Benji loved soccer, cricket, and running. He would want you to know that he was one of the top milers in his secondary school.
As a young man, he traveled abroad to work. He married Anne in 1987 and immigrated to the United States. Through a series of lucky situations, they settled down in Denver, Colorado. They had 3 children, Jasmine, Jennifer, and Jonathan. Sadly, their oldest daughter, Jasmine, passed away at the age of six years. We take solace in knowing they are reunited.
In his most recent years, Ben enjoyed playing ping pong and watching the Broncos and the Nuggets. Traveling was one of his greatest joys and was blessed to experience new places such as Hawaii, Alaska, Thailand, and Malaysia, while also visiting his home country India. He also enjoyed the company of his loved ones.
Perhaps the most important element of Ben’s life was his trust and dedication to God. During his trials with cancer, surgeries, and various ailments, Benjamin always maintained faith; all of the struggles were a part of the Lord’s blessings and plan for his life. He often spoke of God being the source of his strength and endurance.
He is survived by Anne Peter, and his children Jennifer and Jonathan Peter. With great heartache, they rest assured knowing that he is at peace and comfort with our God.
