Betty is survived by her children and their spouses, Carole E. Rouse (Jim), Sally C. Purinton (Ray), Leigh R. Jones (Shirley) and Dave S. Jones (Gina), nine grandchildren and their spouses and seven great grandchildren.
Betty attended University of California at Berkeley and UCLA in Los Angeles. She was a homemaker living in Berkeley, Phoenix, Richmond, Virginia, Ithaca, New York and Denver during her marriage of 48 years to Leigh.
As a baby, Betty was taken to church learning all the stories of the Bible. She states one day while driving along and looking in the mirror, she saw the snow capped peaks and realized in an overwhelming way that she had become a Christian. She attended Golden Church of Christ for the past 20 years until she was no longer able to get out.
Betty was an avid watercolor painter and a wonderful pianist. She played in a trio during her university years at Cal. Betty enjoyed planting flowers, trees, bushes and vegetables in their back yard. She was a part of the Applewood symphony guild branch of the Denver Symphony. Throughout childhood and raising children Betty loved camping.
All the family loved Betty dearly. God is good!
Donations, in lieu of flowers, should be sent to Global Services Associates, c/o Dave Jones.
