Beverly Jean Turner

She grew up in North Denver during the Depression with her mother, and two sisters.

Later on, she attended North High School and a few years later, at the age of 19, Married her husband, Charles and the two of them began raising a family of 5 children.

She had a number of different jobs, among them a telephone operator with Mountain Bell, a Nurse’s Assistant at St. Joseph’s in Denver, and a Legal Secretary for Mr. James Stitt. Her final career was as a Mail Clerk for the Central Forwarding System in the United States Post Office, where she retired in 1995.

Amongst her hobbies, she enjoyed, playing the piano and the organ, sewing, knitting, and crafts. She often put together elaborate meals for the holidays over the years. She enjoyed having her family all together for those times.

Beverly was a generous and caring person, who often put everyone else above herself. Family and friends could count on her when it was needed the most. She is survived by her children, daughter Kitty and son-in-law Joe, sons Jaime, Herb and daughter-in-law Sheryl, and Terry. Also two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Charles, and daughter Becky.

A memorial service for Beverly will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Following the memorial service will be a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236.
