Blair Michael "Mike" Work

Blair Michael Work at age of 69 passed away unexpectedly in his Arvada Home on November 29th 2023.

Mike was born in Fort Collins Colorado on July 16th 1954, Shortly after his birth he and his family moved to his home town he loved Arvada, Colorado.

Mike loved Arvada and enjoyed all the things it had to offer. He grew up on Field Street a short hop skip and a jump from North Jeffco Swimming Pool, park and Recreation Center, where he spent many days during his youth, playing at the pool and in the park.

B.M.W enjoyed many hobbies- Photography was his favorite but close behind was hiking, camping, fishing, bird hunting, riding his bike and later golfing with the Work boys. (Every Thursday Event).

He graduated from Arvada High School in 1973. Shortly thereafter, he started working at Coors Container Company in Golden from 1973-1975. He then worked for Michaels Hair Design in Louisville from 1975-1978, Mountain Bell from 1978-1984, KVA Supply from 1983-87. He worked for Western Fasteners in Denver, subsequently moving to Arizona to run a company from 1987-1994. Mike then worked for Robert I Warden Company, Energy West till he retired in 2022.

Mike is Survived by His two Brothers, Randy (Cindy) and Scott who both live in Arvada to this day, and his beloved Niece Sheylinn. Mike was predeceased by his parents Blair and Shirley, and his precious nephew Coy.

His Buddy, Loyal Friend, and love of his life was his dog Shilo. We know they had an enthusiastic reunion and are playing as you read this tribute to Mike- a special, son, brother, uncle and Friend.
