Bonnie was born to Henry and Ruth Miller in Las Animas, CO as the youngest of 5 children. She spent her early youth on a farm in Fowler, CO, moving to Denver when she was 7 years old. After graduating from East High School in 1962, she went on to meet and marry the love of her life, Jack Groen, in 1966. They were blessed with 2 children, Ken in 1972 and Ruth in 1974.
Bonnie had many talents. She was an amazing cook and baker, having worked in multiple bakeries over the years. She loved cooking, baking, and sharing her delectable creations with her family, friends, and fellow church members - something that is still remembered with much fondness. She was also a creative individual who could often be found at her sewing machine crafting items for others or clothing for herself or her family. She was an avid crafter who loved to make things for others. Bonnie went on to start her own business where she helped senior citizens with housework and errands, touching many lives in her compassionate service to others.
Most importantly, Bonnie was a loving mother and wife, a kind, and compassionate woman loved by many. She was devoted to her faith and lived her life as a true, gentle spirit. She will be sorely missed, but will always live in our hearts and memories as the wonderful person that she was.
Bonnie is predeceased by her mother, father, 4 siblings, and husband, Jack. She is survived by her 2 children, Ken and Ruth, their spouses, and her 3 grandchildren, Marie, Rochelle, and Kenny.
