Brandon Reyna, 17, student at Alameda International High School, born on February 9, 1998 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Cynthia Chavez and Jose Reyna, passed away in his home on June 24, 2015. Brandon is survived by his parents Cynthia Chavez and Jose Reyna, his siblings Cynthia Reyna and Jesse Alvarez, 48 cousins, 12 Uncles, and 15 Aunts. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his uncles Jesus Reyna and Vicente Pastrana, and his aunt Rosa Pastrana.
Brandon was a vivacious young man, so caring and attentive. He didn’t take anything as seriously as he took his family. The first thing that anyone would tell you about Brandon is how much he loved his family. Even upon meeting a new family member for the first time, he would bring them in for a big hug and embraced them as another special person in his life. Brandon took the same pride in his friends; He always made sure to check up on his friends and see that all was okay. Brandon made sure that everyone knew just how much they meant to him.
Anyone who knew Brandon knew that he was a real joker, always dropping a good one-liner at the first opportunity he got. To some, he was the class clown; to others, he was like an amusing little brother. Brandon’s personality made him a lot of friends through his life, some that have come and gone and others that will go on forever with beautiful memories of him in their hearts.
No one could miss how much Brandon loved to eat! He would have eaten his family out of house and home if they would have let him. His appetite didn’t stop there… Brandon demonstrated such a large appetite for life. He loved being active, like playing on his High School Football and Basketball teams. He loved making his own music, writing his own lyrics and, most of all, doing performances of the work that he had done. And last but not least, Brandon loved the ladies. He was a very handsome young man who was tender, caring, loving, and noble, and was never afraid to show it.
To all that miss Brandon, please make time in your coming days, weeks, months, and years, to reach out to his family and friends and take a moment to remember what Brandon brought to your lives.
