

Brian Keith Withers, age 48, passed away after a short illness on September 23, with his family & friends and at peace. Brian was born on September 18, 1964 in Denver, CO to Dean and Gloria Withers. He is survived by his loving family and his only son, Bodhi of Broomfield: parents Dean and Gloria Withers of Federal Heights; sister Cheryl Fairbanks and her sons, Travis and Jeremy of Thornton; sister Carol Griffith, and her son, Ryan, and her daughter, Lacey, of Federal Heights; brother Douglas, his wife Jill, and his son Nicholas, of Broomfield; sister Lisa and her husband Tom Hoffman, and their son Tyler, and their daughter Kaitlan, and their son Brendan, of Henderson. Brian was preceded in death by his older brother, David Owen Withers.
An intelligent, charismatic and always cheerful and supportive father, Brian's career as a broadcast television technician took him to many foreign countries; Canada, Sri Lanka, England, Italy, Japan, and China. He also traveled to Hawaii, and almost all of the continental United States. Brian enjoyed astronomy, photography, motorcycle and auto racing, baseball, basketball, and football. Brian was an avid Rockies fan and season ticket holder, he attended the 2007 World Series with his father, Dean, his son, Bodhi, and his dearest friends, Paul and Mary Gapinski. Brian was also a Raiders fan, but don't hold that against him.
Brian's passion in life was flying, he attended countless vintage World War II and military air shows and air museums with his son, Bodhi. His fondest memories were of flying in World War II era bombers and fighter planes. Brian was most at ease in the air, whether in a hot air balloon, commercial airliner, vintage piston airplane or jet fighter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012, 4-8pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held that evening at 7pm in the Chapel of Peace located at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary.
Funeral Services, Friday, September 28, 2012, 5:30pm in the Pavilion of Reflections located on the grounds of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery.
