Carmen Avila, age 61, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in Westminster, Colorado. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Carmen lived a life full of love, strength, and quiet beauty.
Born in Juárez, Chihuahua, Carmen spent her early years there before making lasting memories in Amarillo and El Paso, Texas. She eventually made her home in Brighton, Colorado, where she continued to nurture her family and passions.
Carmen was known for her green thumb, her deep love for gardening, and her eye for beauty—often seen through her collection of rocks, gems, and jewelry. Her gentle spirit and unwavering Catholic faith were at the heart of who she was and how she lived.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roberto Rosales; her children, Armando Vera Jr., Juan Carlos Vera, Ericka Vera, and Mario Rodriguez; and her parents, Cirilo Avila and Maria Dolores Avila. Carmen also leaves behind her 17 beloved grandchildren, daughter-in-laws Teresa Vera and Ninfa Vera, son-in-law Josh Lucero, and her 13 siblings, all of whom shared a lifetime of love and laughter with her.
Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
