

September 23, 2019. She was born August 6, 1940, to Elva and James Churches at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. A fourth generation Coloradoan, she grew up on a turkey and fox farm near Genesee and was the youngest of 5 children.
A graduate of Golden High School in 1958, she made lifelong friends and met her husband Richard Seal. They married in 1959 and soon welcomed their boys as they started a family. She worked at a bank at 14th and Carr St, which began a vocation that would sustain her in life for 40 years. She was a doting wife, a wonderful mother, an amazing aunt, comical sister, and caring mother-in-law and made friends everywhere she went.
Carol was spunky with a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She learned to ride horses at a very young age, loved snow skiing with her family and friends, enjoyed playing bridge and her tole painting decorates many homes. She was an amazing cook and baker - famous for her casseroles, potato rolls and cream wafers (recipes available on request).
In 1996, she married John Lowe and a new chapter in her life began. They were happily married for 20 years.
Carol is preceded in death by her brother, James Churches, sister, Evelyn Burr, and husband, John Lowe. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Burno, (husband Lou) and brother Robert Churches, ( wife Lillian); two loving sons, Craig Seal (wife Kim) and Patrick Seal (wife Vicki); four grandchildren Lauren, Taylor, Matthew, and Shannon Seal and step-daughter, Patti Carpenter. She will be missed by her family, whom she loved dearly, and many friends whom she cherished.
Carol’s celebration of life is October 12, 2019, in the Chapel of Peace at Olinger Crown Hill, located on 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, at 10:00am; she will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery after the celebration.
