Carol Jane Mosgrove
July 17, 1945 – July 6, 2018
A lion’s strength, a heart of gold, witty, caring, sometimes stubborn and always forthright, Carol Jane Mosgrove lived a life of untethered, unending, unconditional love. Born and raised in Denver, Carol attended North High School, where she met her husband-to-be, Harry Mosgrove. They were married on June 11, 1966 and remained happily married for 52 years. She will be sorely missed and is survived by Harry; her two children – Leanne and Jeff; son-in-law Pete Lepetsos; daughter-in law Amy (Perelman) Mosgrove, sister-in-law Ginny McFarland; and 5 grandchildren – Katy, Alex, Tate, Chloe, Cole and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is also survived by a large stack of Elton John and Rod Stewart cd’s along with her antiquated Intellivision game console (loved shootin’ ”space dudes”), reminder notes to keep everyone on track, and peanut brittle stash. Carol spent the first 51 years of her marriage keeping track and taking care of everyone and everything, especially her kids and Harry. In the last year, Harry and the kids kindly returned the favor.
In lieu of flowers, we request a donation to your favorite animal shelter, American Heart Association or the charity of your choice. The memorial service and celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 17th at Lakewood Country Club, 11:30 a.m., 6800 W 10th Ave., Lakewood, CO. Bring your memories and stories to share. We hope you will join us on what would have been her 73rd birthday to celebrate her life.

Hi Harry, Leann and Jeff- This is Sue and John Weber who lived in back of you for so many years in Arvada. We now live in Albuquerque, so won't be able to make her celebration. Our favorite memories of Carol are when she was watching CU football games and we always knew how things were going by the cheers or boos from your house. She was a great person and terrific mom. We are sorry you have lost her. Sue and John
