

Carolee Danielle Patnoi 79, passed away in Spokane Washington September 6, 2024. She passed away from complications of pneumonia. Carol fought until the bitter end with her advanced dementia it was only a matter of time.
Carol was born in Denver Colorado October 11, 1944. Her parents were Carmen and Della (Belfiore) Scalise. She Married David Moir January 8th, 2021. They started dating in December 1995 sharing love and life 29 years. Carol is survived by daughter Lori Pulciani Backman (Bill Backman), son Shane Patnoi (Becky Patnoi), husband David Moir, Grandchildren, Danielle, Teddi, Jacki, India, Noah, Tanzy, Calan. Great grandchildren: Jack, Emma, Aiden, Daisy, Aurora and James.
Carol and her cousins Larry Dardano, Kenny Dardano and John DeBuno had a special relationship throughout their lives. From Italian feasts to Bronco games or just drinking Crown they were together through it all. She loved making Italian sausage with the Belfiore family. Carol enjoyed being serenaded by her long-time cherished friend Frankie Rino, they had a very special friendship that included his wife Sara as a pool partner and teammate. She is leaving behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
Carol was a hairdresser for 30 plus years. Carol held Series 6&7 license for stocks and insurance. She also worked in the Telecommunications business for several years. As well as being an independent business Owner-Partner. In 1995 she found the love of playing pool. That’s where she and Dave met. They were a team to be reckoned with. Carol loved her pool, playing in 7 APA National Championships of one type or another. Referring the National Playoff 4 times and playing In the US Open Preliminary rounds 2 times. All by APA Invitations. If someone were to ask her, taking a team to Vegas Nationals as a Team Captain and starting Phil as a team member would be her 2 favorites accomplishments.
Carol also loved traveling, an evening at a Sannino’s restaurant with her friends, crown royal and an occasional cuss word!! We always hear her saying “what the hell ever” or “you’re an asshole”
She always loved her family but most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Carmen Scalise and Della (Belfiore) Scalise, her siblings Kaye Raggizino, Rose Wilson, Adee Lutz, Frank Scalise and Lori Nugen. She is survived by Lori Pulciani Backman, Shane Patnoi, David Moir and his daughters Tyra and Chelsie.
