

Cau Tran, 86, of Denver, CO passed away on May 23, 2025. Cau was born on August 2, 1938 in Vietnam. He is survived by his loving wife Anh, and 9 children who reside in Colorado, Florida, and Vietnam respectively.
Cau was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam war and served from 1957-1975 until he was captured for 6 years as a prisoner of war by the Vietnamese communist. During his tenure in the military, he held many esteemed titles and was promoted to a Combat Commander, Sergeant, and Chief of Military Security with many accolades for his dedication and strong work ethic. Cau's life was characterized by grit which became the fuel that drove him to find freedom and a better life for his family. He immigrated to the United States in 1986 where he continued to preserve and rebuild his life. It was in Colorado that he planted new roots and never looked back.
Cau was an incredibly humble and hard working man. When he arrived in Colorado he proudly worked various jobs from produce assembly, cleaning, and newspaper distribution. He used each job as an opportunity to provide for his family and to serve as a role model for his loved ones.
Cau's life was one marked by endurance and resilience that he used to stand up for the country he believed in, to ultimately live the American Dream he sought after, and to pave the path for his family. His legacy will live on through his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
