Christopher Manuel Olivas, born in Pueblo, Colorado, on February 11, 1946, passed away on August 7, 2024. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Christopher's life was filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Christopher married the love of his life, Guadalupe Olivas, with whom he shared over two decades of marriage. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including one son and two daughters.
He dedicated much of his career to the City of Denver, where he worked as a city employee until he retired, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Christopher's hard work and commitment to his community were evident in all that he did.
Outside of work, Christopher was known for his love of running marathons and his fondness for Seinfeld, Monk, and Young Sheldon, shows that never failed to bring a smile to his face. He was a man of simple pleasures, often enjoying a cigarette and taking naps.
In his retirement, Christopher discovered a passion for golf and spent countless hours on the green. He also found joy in traveling, with Hawaii being a favorite destination, where he could unwind and soak in the beauty of the islands.
Christopher will be deeply missed by his son, his two daughters, and granddaughters, and all who knew him. His legacy of love, humor, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Food Bank of the Rockies, in honor of Christopher's memory.
