Claudia Dawn Wright Hoy

Born on July 5, 1950, to Donald and Dorothy Wright, Claudia was one of five children. She graduated from South High School in 1968 and began building a life centered on family, hard work, laughter, and compassion.

In November of 1971, Claudia met the love of her life, Bill Hoy. The two were married on February 4, 1972, beginning a marriage that would span more than 54 years. Together they welcomed two daughters: Amy, born May, 1972, and Erica, born April, 1977.

Claudia enjoyed a successful career with AT&T, where she worked from 1983 until her retirement in 2000. Following retirement, she continued serving others through her work at Lakewood Family Dentistry from 2002 until 2010.

Throughout her life, Claudia found joy in many interests and hobbies. Many of which include 20 plus years of motorcycle riding and 11 years of Nascar interest.

Above all, Claudia will be remembered for her sense of humor. No matter the circumstance, she always found a way to bring laughter and light to those around her. Her ability to find humor in everyday moments was one of her greatest gifts and will remain a cherished memory for all who knew and loved her.

Claudia is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Hoy; her daughters, Amy Jones (Chris) and Erica Brannon (Steve); her brother, Donn Wright of Las Vegas; her sister, Connie Wright of Las Vegas; her brother-in-law, Jim (Sharrie); her sister-in-law, Sandie; her grandchildren, Makenna, Mikayla (fiancé Coby), and Jaxson; her great-granddaughter, Paisley; her faithful service dog, Kodiak; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dorothy Wright; brothers, Roger and Doug Wright and her cherished service dog, Kuddles.

At Claudia's request, no funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held in late July or early August, with details to be announced by the family.

Though she will be deeply missed, Claudia's love, laughter, and the countless memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
