It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Clyde James Kime on March 11, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1967 in Gordon, Nebraska. Over the course of his 58 years, he touched many lives through his humor, love of music, and good-natured spirit.
In 1994, driven by his love for music, he moved to Denver, Colorado, where he met his wife, Lisa. Clyde spent many years playing in bands across Denver and had a deep passion for the bass guitar. He is remembered by many as the friend everyone gravitated toward. Clyde’s greatest joy in life was his three girls and his dog, Melvin. He had a zest for sports, music, the outdoors, and cooking for family and friends—particularly his famous mashed potatoes. He will be greatly missed.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Lisa; his three daughters, Savannah (Daniel Grant), Allison, and Madison (Xavier Guzman); his two grandchildren, Jaxson Zotto-Kime and Iris Guzman; his siblings, Steve, Patricia Decker, Barbara Petersen, and Diane Braaton (Eric); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose; his sister-in-law, Beth Kime; and his brother-in-law, Garry Decker.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Celtic on Market (1400 Market St, Denver, CO 80202) on March 24, 2026 at 11am. All who loved Clyde and wish to celebrate his life are encouraged to attend.
In honor of Clyde, the family encourages supporting addiction treatment resources, such as those listed at findtreatment.gov (a SAMHSA initiative).
