cruising on his motorcycle that sunny Saturday morning. While we aren’t sure of his destination, we know that his hardworking, hard playing nature kept him in constant motion. He always lived with reckless abandon and was fearless in all his many pursuits.
Being self-employed, he could have been riding to get a few more hours in at his most current jobsite. He was self-taught in the construction industry having also been a quick study of his father’s many home remodeling projects. His cousin, Sean, (his mentor/brother) played an instrumental role over the years in helping him to fine-tune his construction skills. He could perhaps have been riding to visit one of his many friends- some of which can boast the honor of knowing him since elementary school. That speaks volumes to the resiliency of his strong relationships. Cody could be playful & humorous and made friends wherever he went and could ALWAYS make us laugh! He was charming, full of life, witty, and always up for a reason to party with his life-long friends.
Being a Colorado native, he might have been cruising to his special beloved mountaintop spot just to watch the world go by. His mountains- and his family- meant the world to him. His sons Ryder, Rory & Brody were his everything, but unfortunately his past mistakes kept him loving them from a distance. His high school sweetheart & ex-wife, Crystal, was his soulmate.
Cody is survived by his parents, Julie & Bob, his siblings, Ashleigh, Katie (Bryan), niece Kaya, Grandma Brady, Aunts, Uncles and tons of cousins that loved his playful, fun-loving spirit. We hope they know how much he cherished them. He will be terribly missed. Our Cody has arrived at his final destination…. PEACE.
We are comforted by the fact that he was not alone as we learned that a Good Samaritan prayed over him as he took his last breaths and helped him cross over into Heaven. We hope that one day we can thank her in person.
Let’s continue to honor him and spread only LOVE!
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery located at 7777 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge on Thursday, October 3rd at 10:00am with a reception and lunch to follow.
