

Collins F. Sanders, age 73, passed away September 19, 2014. He was born October 2, 1940 in Denver, Colorado and was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and North Denver. Collins graduated from North High School where he excelled in wrestling and football. Following high school he joined the US Marine Corps to serve his country, before returning to Denver to start a family. Collins deeply loved Colorado where he lived his whole life and built his business; he was the owner and operator of Triple S Supply. He was an active member of the Optimists club and was supportive of their charity endeavors. Collins enjoyed fishing, golfing, sports, and traveling especially to Arizona after retirement.
He is survived by his partner of 20 years Reva Brown; his oldest son, Collins F. Sanders Jr. and his other son, Christopher M. Sanders and his wife Michele Lim; his grandchildren: Alexandra Deppa, Dillon Sanders, Evangella Sanders, Julia Sanders and Matthew Sanders; a brother Calvin G. Sanders, and his youngest brother William H. Sanders III and his wife Lucille and his niece Sherri Kilian.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflection, with a reception to follow at Abrusci’s Restaurant 3244 Youngfield St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Donations are preferred in Collins’ name to the Wounded Warrior Project .
