The extent to which she strived to make all those around her feel comfortable can be seen in the three most common ways that people knew her: 'Louise' to those in her native Upstate New York, 'Rusty' to her husband's clan in Texas and many others, and 'Cora' to her neighbors in her later life. Among her legacies to the many who knew her will be a fondness for lyric and cheeky poetry, a love affair with Nature, especially spring and fall leaves and all flowers, an appreciation of music of many kinds, a special place in her heart for children and underdogs, and a tremendous gift for looking for and finding the good in all people. She was devoted to Dennis and her family during her life, was beloved by many, and will be missed.
