Darlene Marie (Borra) Kissell, 84, passed away Thursday July 2, 2026 in Sterling, Colorado. Viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Saturday August 22, 2026 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary located at 7777 W 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A funeral service will be held following the viewing at the same location.
Darlene was born on July 10, 1941 in Louisville, Colorado to Camille and Marie (Thornberg) Borra. She met her husband, Jack Kissell, in Boulder, Colorado at the local roller rink. They were married in Boulder on November 23, 1960.
She enjoyed camping, boating and fishing, gardening, baking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She loved the mountains, being outdoors, and finding unique salt and pepper shakers to add to her extensive collection.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack; her parents; her brothers Charles, Albert, and Ed; her sister Charlene Bish; and her beautiful daughter, Deanna.
She is survived by her son, Randy and wife Reva, five grandchildren: Andy, Ben (Ashley), Tara, Jackie, and Jessi; 9 great-grandchildren; and her brother Fred.
