I am shocked and saddened to learn of our sudden, tragic loss. David was my good friend, as well as a talented and valued trade partner. While I never had the privilege of meeting your family, I feel I know you through our conversations and his stories. I'll always remember his kind and gentle approach to business and to life, and will forever be reminded of him in the many landscape designs, plants, trees and flowers he thoughtfully created and planted for the homes we built together, including my own country home he enjoyed visiting. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.

Marci and family, I am saddened over your losing David. What a gift that he was able to be at the wedding and share such family joy. His life clearly had so much meaning for all who knew him. I could never express in words, how deeply saddened that I am. David was a very kind soul, and the world is a far lesser place without him. I pray you all, the strength and peace you seek.

I'm so sorry to hear the news of David's death. He was such a good, kind man. Judging by the other comments I've seen, many people share my feelings. 

Marci, you were both wonderful friends to me when we were all at Tech in the early 80s. Special memories include a wonderful visit to Red River (thanks to David and his family) and going with you and David to the Willie Nelson concert in Big Spring. 

 I so admired David for the way he approached his health problems. His positive attitude was, and is, so inspirational. I love that his New Year's message on Facebook included "Live each day to the fullest" (or something to that effect). He obviously did. I  know his family and many friends will miss him terribly. I hope you  find comfort in the many loving memories you share.
