Mary Delubina "Dell" Dunst died of natural causes surrounded by loved ones. She was born in the small town of La Garita. She moved to Hotchkiss, Colorado, when she was 12. After she graduated from high school, she attended CU and received her nursing degree. Her first job as a nurse was with public health where she helped implement a variety of healthcare programs. After that she worked as a nurse for a doctor in private practice for 16 years.
She married Charles Dunst of Colorado in 1951. Their first home was an apartment on Birch St. after which they moved to a duplex which they called "the double" in 1954. They were able to buy their first house in 1960 where they created a loving home and raised their two children, Lynn and Bob.
She is survived by her Children: Lynn (Chip) Bosman and Bob (Cheryl) Dunst; Grandchildren: McKenzie (Gabe) Retalia, Shelby Dunst, Whitney (Brendan) Murphy, and Aydin Bosman; Great Grandchildren: Lucas and Dylan McCaslin, Ashlynn, Preston and Spencer Murphy, and Hudson Retalia. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Dunst, brother Gus Gallegos and her sister Terry Tafoya.

The following services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 am followed by a Mass at 10:30 at Notre Dame Catholic Parish, 2190 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80219.
Committal Service will be held at 1:00 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236. A reception will be held at 1:45 pm at VFW Post 9644, 2680 W Hampden Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110.
Dell will be remembered for her compassion, strength and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
