Beloved Wife and Passionate Friend to All

Denise passed away peacefully at her home May 1st, 2021 at the age of 54. She had a long battle with illness over the past 7 months. During so, she remained positive and fought with all she had to overcome the illness. She had family and friends with her and supporting her throughout the journey. She knew how much everyone loved her.

Denise was born in Chicago, Ill., grew up in Kansas City, KS and spent her adult life in Denver, CO. She graduated from high school at Wheat Ridge High School in Colorado and earned her Bachelors degree in Organizational Development at Regis University with Cum Laude Honors. Denise worked in the Medical field for over 30 years. Starting her career at ElectroMedics, then Medtronic and spent the last 20 years with Genesee Biomedical, Inc. as the Director of Sales and Marketing. She was highly respected by her peers and co-workers.

Denise was an avid golfer and played on the WWGL at Foothills Golf Course with all her many and wonderful friends. She traveled the world extensively with her favorites being London and Barcelona which she visited many times. She loved music and her favorite band was Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, seeing them several times in concert here in Denver, as well as in Rocky Point, Mexico. Fashion was always important to Denise. She always looked her best at all times, which was easy for such a beautiful girl.

Denise is survived by her husband Rick, parents Marie and Paul Middleton, brothers Robert & Stacey Scobey, Joe & Danedri Herbert and Jake & Danelle Herbert, her aunts Paulene Howell, Patty & Mike Whenry and Julie Taylor, cousins Danny Howell and Dennis Howell, nieces Ashleigh McDaniel, Savanah McDaniel, Kaitlin Herbert and nephews Daniel Herbert and Nathan Herbert. She brought love & kindness to all she touched. She will be missed very much by all and will remain in our thoughts everyday.

Denise….I love you more (Rick).

To Rick and loving family,
My husband, Alex, and I want to extend our sincere condolences for your loss. We had the pleasure of knowing Denise for over two decades. She was genuine to everyone she knew, as a professional and a friend, and she was both to us. She was someone to have fun with, respect, admire, and aspire to be like.
She was also the closest thing to an angel this world will ever have. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to have known and loved her. Her contagious smile, never wavering optimism, warmth, and beauty will live in our hearts forever.
With love, thoughts, and prayers,
Lauren Huebner and Alex Hartel

We met at an RCPM Concert in Denver many years ago. Denise was a wonderful person. So happy to have known her and so saddened to learn of her passing. Will dedicate the next bottle of Mexican Moonshine to her memory.

I dated Denise in High School and even went to prom with her. I always admired her courage and resourcefulness. Smart, beautiful and strong beyond belief. I hope the memories we all have of her touch her in the afterlife. She was amazing.
Best
To her friends and family.

Rick,

I knew Denise since she started at Electromedics. I watched her grow up both professionally and personally. To say that she was a dear friend is an understatement. She was like a little sister and I am missing her so much! I never saw her without a smile on her face and she always laughed at my bad jokes. I was lucky to get to work with her some more when she went to Genesee Biomedical. I was so proud to see her continue to move up and be promoted. Thank you so much for posting all of the wonderful pictures of Denise. Those helped a lot and Heather and I are so sad about her passing. Please accept our most sincere condolences! We are holding you both in the light!

Denise
Oh Denise my fabulous buddy who I met many years ago on the WWGL. I was truly blessed to have her come into my life. She was so kind, loving, funny and definitely the Princess!

I was so lucky to have her as a friend. I have so many great memories of weekend golf trips, playing rounds of golf, going to the Broncos game, the South and our last round of golf at Pinehurst, last September. I’m so so glad we played, we drove the party cart. So Fun!

We truly had tons of fun and many many laughs. Her smile would brighten up any room she walked into. I always loved how she named her cars. One of her quotes

I loved you.. more than my luggage. ❤️

My dearest friend you will be truly missed.
You will always hold a special place in my heart. Prayers and hug to Rick and family.

I love you long time.💕⛳️
