86, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. Donald is survived by his loving family; his wife of 55 years, Eva Jo (Aldrich) Tautz, children; Terry (Nichole) Tautz, Pamela (Pat) Tautz-Bernal, Tim (Lynette Chong) Tautz, grandchildren; Jacob Bernal, Tanner Bernal, Paige Tautz, Sawyer Tautz, Parker Bernal, Samuel Chong-Tautz, Benjamin Chong-Tautz, and Ruby Noelani Chong-Tautz, his siblings, Lee (Ilse) Tautz, and Ted (Elsie) Tautz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Isolde Tautz, and a brother Herbert Tautz, Jr.. Donald was very active in his adult life with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Optimist International, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado, National Tooling & Machining Association, and on the Board of Directors for the Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016, 1:30pm at the Denver South Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2675 S. Downing St., Denver, CO 80210.
