

Born on August 20, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, to Cvetko and Rada Boskovic. She was the cherished middle child in her family, growing up with her older brother, David Boskovic, and her younger sister, Olga Mota. Donna spent her childhood in the South Deering neighborhood, where she created lifelong memories and connections. It was there that she met the love of her life, Martin Gutierrez, the boy who lived across the street and older brother of her friend Caroline. Donna and Martin were high school sweethearts and married in 1986. Shortly after their wedding, they relocated to Denver, Colorado, where they built a beautiful life together.
Donna had a remarkable career in banking, one defined by dedication, integrity, and an unmatched work ethic. Starting as a teller in 1983, she rose through the ranks to become Vice President and Controller. Donna spent 37 years at The Bank of Denver before joining ANB Bank, where she continued to share her expertise and passion. Her talent for uncovering accounting errors was legendary, and she cherished the relationships she formed with her colleagues. Weekly lunch outings with her work friends were among the simple joys she treasured.
Beyond her professional life, Donna was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Dyana Quinlivan. She supported Dyana through every stage of life with unwavering loyalty, strength, and encouragement. Donna’s role as a grandmother to Adeline and Rhys brought her immense joy. She poured her creative energy into making their everyday life and celebrations unforgettable, she loved setting up crafting projects and surprising them with new activities.
Donna had a creative soul. A talented artist and avid crafter, she delighted in scrapbooking, drawing, and bringing imaginative ideas to life. Her love for crafting was an expression of her boundless love for her family and friends. From custom banners and decorations to intricate handmade cards, Donna’s creations were always remarkable in their thoughtfulness and execution. She was also a lover of good stories, whether found in the pages of a book or on the screen during a Hallmark or Disney movie marathon.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Martin Gutierrez; her daughter, Dyana Quinlivan, and her husband, Neil Quinlivan; her grandchildren, Adeline and Rhys; her brother, David Boskovic; her sister, Olga Mota; as well as her cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by countless friends and colleagues touched by her loyalty, kindness, and humor.
Donna was a blessing to everyone who knew her. While her time with us was far too brief, her impact on the lives of those she loved will remain forever.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Donna’s life on January 31. Reception following at Kim Robards Dance Event Venue - 1755 W 48th Ave, Denver, CO
