Born on March 21, in Mitchell South Dakota, Dorla lived a full and vibrant life. She was the loving wife of Myron Loon, together married for 68 years since Dec 17, 1955. Together, they raised their family in the same house in Northglenn for 60 years.
Dorla took great pride in caring for her family and had a special place in her heart for all children. She retired from Gates Rubber company and started watching kids of family and friends as a passion and to help others. She was a woman of many talents from homemaker to adventure seeker. She enjoyed being outside working on the yard with her husband.
In her free time, Dorla enjoyed word searches, road trips visiting all 50 states 48 of which in their RV, doing photo albums for all her Kids and Grandchildren, and listening to Country Music. She had an endearing passion for caring for puppies, cats, and all cute animals.
Dorla was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, her gentle nature, snarky ways and her unwavering love.
Dorla and Myron together, raised a family of 3 children Gary, Denise and Tanya who will forever cherish her memory. She was a grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grand babies with more on the way, whom she loved with all her heart and soul. She is met in Heaven by her Son, 2 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many other family and friends.
Rest in peace, Dorla Loon. There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our Hearts. Your caring grace and legacy will forever live on.
