She was born in Englewood, New Jersey on February 28, 1937, to Karl and Dorothy Fink.
She graduated from Lake Worth High School in Lake Worth, Florida.
Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and volunteering at her children’s schools until they were old enough for her to work outside the home. She worked as a bookkeeper for Barnum Publishing and later for Offices for Less. She enjoyed camping, going on cruises, and playing cards with her husband and family. She loved all her animals, granddogs and grandcats included.
She is survived by her husband, George Owen of Parker, children Suzanne Page (Leonard) of Rawlins, WY, Wayne Turnbull of Englewood, Tina Edington (James) of Commerce City, and George Owen Jr (Francie) of Parker; grandchildren, Kevin, Trevor (Ronee) and Alisha Edington (Jordan), Cole Smith, and Heather Ebel (Nick); and great-grandchildren, Carter, Dalton and Morris.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 23 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 24 at 16758 E 113th Court, Commerce City, from 1 to 4pm. Food and beverages will be served. Please come and share your fond memories and stories.
