

DOROTHY met her future husband, HAROLD FRANK PARR through her friend Florence Parr, Harold's sister. Harold and Dorothy were a perfect couple; handsome, loving, considerate and goal oriented. Their first child, daughter PEGGY PARR (Pletcher) was born in 1946. Their second daughter, born in October 1950 is JANET SUE PARR. Harold was known to utter daily to the girls "Isn't Dorothy beautiful? I don't know how I got her to marry me." Janet would reply "Yes daddy, but you tell me that every day."
DOROTHY was a kind and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. She will live on as long as those who knew and appreciated her hold the love of her in their hearts. "I thank her for all she gave and did for me" was Janet's comment. "How blessed I was to have her as my mother."
HAROLD PARR, an electrical engineer, gained his expertise serving as Lieutenant Senior Grade in charge of RADAR on the Aircraft Carrier "Saratoga" in WWII. After the war Harold worked for the Federal Government, Bueau of Reclamation. He directed the design of Electrical Components for the major dams being built across the Western U. S.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet and Peggy; grandchildren, John Pletcher and Nicole Pletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; siblings, Homa Garner, May Garner, Taylor Garner, Eunice Kauffman Garner, William Garner, Ruth Schoaf Garner.
