Dorothy Louise Sullivan

Dorothy passed away quietly on March 12, 2015 in Phoenix AZ. Dorothy was a long time resident of Austin TX and St Paul Minnesota and had retired along with her husband John M Sullivan to Austin TX from St Paul MN in 1984. She is survived by her four children Maureen Sullivan, TX; Daniel Sullivan, WA; Brian Sullivan, CO; and Evangeline "Angie" Tumble, AZ and their families.

Dorothy was born in El Reno OK and moved with her mother Evangeline to Denver CO at the age of two after her father, Earl, was killed in a railroad accident. She met her future husband, John M. Sullivan in Greeley Colorado as he was a pilot in training before shipping out to England. Dorothy and John lived in Alexandria, VA before raising a family in ST Paul MN. Mom was a teacher for special needs students, an active member of the League of Women voters, a member of St Teresa Church in Austin TX , a docent LBJ library and volunteered at Seton Hospital. After retirement she and dad were able to travel to many destinations in the US and overseas.

Dorothy will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver Colorado on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2:00PM.

A funeral mass was held at 11:00 am , March 18 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Scottsdale AZ. Another memorial to celebrate her life will be held at St Teresa Church Austin TX to be announced.
