In Loving Memory of a Remarkable Man and Sheriff Deputy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father at the age of 83. He was not only a father but also a pillar of our community, serving as a Sheriff Deputy (Jefferson and Gilpin Counties) for 41 years.
Born into a world much different from the one he left, he navigated the changing times with grace and wisdom. His life was marked by an unwavering commitment to justice and a deep love for his community. As a sheriff deputy, he served with integrity, courage, and an enduring sense of duty.
His legacy is not only in the law he upheld but in the lives he touched. He was a mentor to many, sharing his wisdom freely and guiding others with kindness and understanding. His sense of humor brought joy to those around him, even in the most challenging times.
In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life – fishing, watching sports and old TV shows, a warm cup of coffee, Mexican food, and the company of his good friends. His dog Bella was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with her.
He is survived by his brother Gary and his four loving children, Debbie, Chris, Rebecca, and Derek. Each one carries a piece of his spirit within them - his strength, his kindness, and his unwavering moral compass.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his remarkable life. We remember not just the man he was but the lives he touched and the difference he made in our community.
