Drew Philip McLaughlin

Born in New Jersey, Drew grew up as a mischievous child who did not shy from the occasional sibling food fight or fearless jump off a cabana roof into the backyard pool. His childhood ambitions were of finding the perfect skate spot or even getting a chance to drop in on that aforementioned backyard pool. Fortunately for Drew, his disarming charm, genuine nature, innate persuasiveness and unfaltering spirit aided him in his shenanigans. As daredevil children often do, Drew grew into an adventurous adult whose zest for seeking thrill and beauty never diminished. With his sweetest fur baby and life partner by his side, he swam on all coasts, climbed mountain peaks, trekked through vast deserts, slept under blankets of stars and arose to dreamy painted sunrises on beaches. In recent years, his steadfastness in chasing his dreams translated to becoming a talented and prolific artist. True to his character, Drew did it his way, planting his creations on sleepy city walls in the nighttime. When the sun rose the following morning, we’d wake to find the world a more enchanting and meaningful place because of him. Having the privilege to have briefly basked in his love and radiance, all who have known him will surely wake every day knowing our lives have been made more beautiful because of Drew Philip McLaughlin.

He is survived by his life partner, Danielle, his mother and stepfather, Regina and Joe, his father and stepmother, Dennis and Carol, his sister and brother-in-law, Jen and Stan, as well as their children, his brother and sister-in-law, Darren and Tiffany, as well as their children, and his large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
