Born August 23, 1935, in San Acacio, Colorado. Dwight served proudly in the United States Navy as an electrician on the USS Owen. He often said, "It was the best job on the ship."
Dwight married the love of his life, Marilyn, in 1961 and they would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this August.
Dwight was known for his kindness, dedication to his family, and his pride in his service to his country and his LDS Church and Priesthood. He will be remembered for the love he shared with those around him and the many memories created with his family."
Dwight is survived by his wife Marilyn, Daughter Carolyn J. Compton (Michelle), of Littleton, CO; four grandchildren, Brandon Trevino of Denver, CO, Alicia Gallegos of Frederick, CO, Shane Compton of Littleton, CO, and Anthony Gallegos (Madison) of Commerce City, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ester Compton, siblings LeRoy Compton, LeEtta Sherman, and his beloved children, Terry Allen, Randy Loril and Kaye Marie.
