Edmond Joseph Kogl passed away peacefully August 17, 2023 at The Springs Saint Andrews after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Ed was born at the family home in Herndon, Kansas on November 29, 1932. He completed the first eight years of schooling in Herndon after which his family moved to a farm southwest of Atwood, Kansas. He then attended Atwood High School where he graduated in 1950. After graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Following his discharge he returned to Atwood, Kansas where he farmed with his dad until he met and married Elaine Murray from Bird City, Kansas. Ed and Elaine farmed until they moved to Commerce City, Colorado.
Ed is survived by his wife Elaine Kogl, sister Laura Craig, sister-in law Ella Kogl and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Helen Kogl, son Gary Kogl, brothers Wilbert and Ronnie Kogl, sisters Agneta Kogl, and Ellen Dewey, brothers in law Otis Dewey, Harry Craig and sister in law Bernita Kogl.
