Edna Leona Betz Kuxhaus was born tenth of twelve children on July 7, 1921 in Milliken, Colorado to Jacob and Barbara Betz. She was the last surviving sibling of the twelve Betz children. She was also preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Victor Kuxhaus.
She graduated from Berthoud High School in 1939 and married Victor in 1946, a loving companionship in which they shared nearly 59 years together until his death in 2005.
She is survived by their three children: son, Gary Lee Kuxhaus, daughters, Vicki Ann Kuxhaus Murphy and Mary Katherine Kuxhaus, as well as seven wonderful grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Being a great cook and an excellent seamstress provided the family with many joyous dinner gatherings as well as some really terrific hand-made clothes.
She was a great sports enthusiast, whether it was the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, ice skating, or the Olympics. Edna was also a serious competitor in bowling, a Life Master at duplicate bridge, and loved to work in her garden and yard throughout the summers.
